Workshop aimed at discussing the current quality assurance landscape

On March 26, 2024, the University “Isa Boletini” in Mitrovica hosted an influential workshop aimed at discussing the current quality assurance landscape. The event saw the participation of distinguished guests, including the Rector of the International Business College Mitrovica (IBC-M), deans from various departments of Isa Boletini University, a wide range of students, academic staff, and collaborators from Kosovo’s tertiary education sector, along with faculty advisory board members.
The workshop highlighted insights derived from comprehensive surveys conducted across the university community. These surveys evaluated the existing quality assurance mechanisms within the consortium’s institutions, with a particular focus on UIBM and IBC-M. This evaluation sparked fruitful dialogues on several key areas, including the enhancement of industry partnerships, the integration of quality assurance in academic and support functions, and the adoption of evidence-based approaches for ongoing improvement.
The discussions underscored the necessity of strengthening internal quality assurance processes across teaching, research, learning, and support domains. Participants, comprising educators, students, and external partners, extensively debated these topics, with a consensus on the importance of evidence-driven strategies to inform future enhancements.
The QA-SURE project embodies the commitment to elevating quality assurance standards in academia through international collaboration and shared expertise, aiming to foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the academic community.
